Port of Dalian is the major port for ore imports in Northeast China. Its ore terminal is located at the DagushanPeninsula and has a dedicated 300,000 dwt ore discharging berth. As the largest and most advanced in China of its kind, the berth has a draft of -23m and is capable of accommodating all types of bulk mineral carriers of the world. The storage capacity is 2.28 million tons and will increase to 6 million tons after completion of the second and third storage yards. The working rate is 7,500 tons/hour for discharge and 4,500 tons/hour for rail wagon loading. Annual throughput capacity of the terminal is 20 million tons.
